History

The origin of the Glovia ERP system data back to the timesharing applications introduced by Xerox in the mid 1970’s. In 1990 the software product was first announced by Xerox as Chess. Since then the product has been owned by McDonnell Douglas, McDonnell Douglas Information Systems, and became an independent company called Glovia in the mid 1990’s. After Fujitsu began to use the product in their manufacturing facilities, they then bought a 50% position in the company. In 2000, Fujitsu bought the balance and made it a division of the company and Glovia is now a subsidiary of Fujitsu, a multi-billion dollar technology leader and one of the top 5 IT solution providers in the world.
