The firm’s managing partner is seeking a seasoned sales executive that can contribute to the growth of the firm with business development and account management skills.
Reporting to the managing partner, the business development executive will be responsible for the growth of the firm by securing new clients and projects. Business development activities are focused on middle market companies in the Midwest.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience selling information technology professional services or software into the manufacturing/distribution industries. Candidate must be comfortable selling to C-level executives, have a strong work ethic, and must be self motivated with the desire and capability to succeed in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment.

Additional Requirements:
- BS/BA, preferably in a business and/or technical discipline. MBA a plus
- 10+ years successful track record in a new account sales role, preferably selling complex solutions especially in the areas of ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Infor, and QAD ) & Business Intelligence ( Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, and Information Builders ) solutions, application development software, reporting tools, or integration software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage the sales cycle in complex environments and solution selling techniques
- Creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to embrace and respect the team culture approach
- Experience and the ability to deal with all levels of management in mid market organizations (from middle management to “C” level)
- The ability to understand how to pragmatically apply technical solutions to solve business problems completes with return on investment (ROI) analysis.
- Experience in dealing with complex procurement processes from identifying an opportunity, through qualification of the opportunity, to closing and negotiating final terms and conditions
- The ability to maintain a high sales call activity, and strong telephone prospecting skills
- Proven track record of success (should have made quota consistently)
- Be an energetic self-starter and possess an excellent knowledge of the industry marketplace and business drivers
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry
- Manufacturing industry information technology best practices experience
